CBCA of Zimbabwe

CBCA certification in Zimbabwe

On March 23, 2015, the Ministry of industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe released the cargo Certification Evaluation Scheme (CBCA) on its official website. According to the CBCA scheme, from May 16, 2015, all goods exported to Zimbabwe shall be subject to product certification before being offshore. CBCA certificate shall be obtained after passing the certification, and CBCA certificate shall be presented when the goods arrive in Zimbabwe for customs clearance. If CBCA certificate is not obtained, Zimbabwean customs will refuse its entry.

Ⅰ. Introduction

In fact, CBCA is another method of CBCA. In accordance with the WTO process and relevant regulations, the project will be launched on May 16, 2015 (subject to the date of bill of lading).

The Ministry of industry and Commerce of Zimbabwe issued the cargo Certification Evaluation Plan (CBCA) on March 23, 2015. According to the provisions of the CBCA plan, from May 16, 2015, all goods exported to Zimbabwe shall be certified before being offshore. Recognition products include: Food and agricultural products, skin care products, etc.

Ⅱ. Purpose of this compliance certification and customs valuation project

1. Reduce the import of dangerous goods and unqualified products to Zimbabwe

2. Improve customs and tax collection

3. Provide certificate of conformity for the specified products exported to Zimbabwe before origin and shipment

4. Ensure the protection of Zimbabwean consumers and industries

5. Achieve fair competition

Ⅲ. Product control scope

This CBCA project combines compliance certification and customs valuation and is applicable to the following specific products:

1. Food and agriculture

2. Construction products

3. Wood and wood products

4. Oil and fuel

5. Packaging materials

6. Electronic / electrical products

7. Body care and health care products

8. Automobile and transportation

9. Clothing and textiles

10. Engineering equipment

11. toys

CBCA certificate shall be submitted for customs clearance upon arrival in Zimbabwe.
