Jordan certification

Jordanian energy efficiency certification is a compulsory certification issued and implemented by Jordanian Standards Agency (JSMO). JSMO is Jordan's national standard organization for formulating energy efficiency related standards.
JSMO promulgated the national standard and measurement Law No. 22 in 2000, and according to the law, it has successively issued a series of laws and regulations on the mandatory implementation of energy efficiency labeling plan for controlled products. It is planned that from January 1, 2014, all products under control must pass product test to obtain energy efficiency certificate and attach energy efficiency label before they can be sold in Jordan market.
According to the agreement between Jordan and the European Union, Jordan can accept the energy consumption label conforming to the EU regulations. If the product is labeled with the EU energy efficiency label, Jordan energy efficiency label will not need to be attached additionally.
