1.Brief Introduction to Gabonese COC Certification

    In order to prove that the products meet Gabonese national requirements or international standards, protect the health, safety and environment of Gabonese consumers, protect the public from the hazards of substandard products and prevent the importation of unsafe products. Since January 1, 2016, the Gabonese Bureau of Standards (AGANOR) has begun to implement this conformity assessment program for all controlled products. Exporters of goods to Gabon and local importers of Gabon need to meet the requirements of the conformity certification project (PROGEC) of the Gabon Standards Authority (AGANOR-Agence Gabonaise de Normalisation) to ensure the smooth clearance of goods. After May 20, 2016, the controlled goods that fail to obtain the COC compliance clearance certificate will lead to serious delay in clearance, fines and even the risk of goods returning.

Gabon's requirements are as follows:

Each batch of controlled imports must be accompanied by a certificate of conformity. The certificate is required to ensure the smooth clearance of goods.Certificate certifies that the product meets the relevant Gabonese technical requirements, national, regional, or international standards.The Gabonese government may conduct random spot checks of imported goods to ensure their conformity.

Introduction of COC Business Process for Gabonese Compliance Certification 

1. Material Audit: Please fill in the inspection application form (provided by our company), packing list and form invoice (stamped), product inspection report.  

2. Fee notice: Our company will issue fee notice after material review. Please confirm the receipt of the notice and return it as soon as possible so that we can arrange the inspection within three working days after receipt of the confirmation.  

3. Inspection execution: The exact time and place of inspection shall be confirmed by our local operation company and the applicant.  

4. Report Audit: Please provide the Inspector with * End Box List and Invoice at the Inspection Site for audit.  

5. Certificate preparation/issuance: Within 3-4 working days after completion of the inspection, we will issue draft certificates and send them to the applicant. After confirmation, we will issue original certificates.。
