Certificate of Egypt
GOEIC services for export to Egypt
According to the latest decree of the general organization of export & import controls of Egypt (Egypt decision 43 / 2016), the products imported into Egypt in the controlled catalogue must be accompanied with the certificate of conformity (COI) when customs clearance, to prove that the imported products conform to the relevant technical regulations and standards of Egypt.
The application process of Egyptian product conformity certificate (COI) is as follows:
1. The exporter shall submit a complete application form, request for certificate form (RFC), which shall detail the goods; provide quality documents, such as test reports and qualification certificates of the laboratory (the third-party laboratory issuing the report shall pass the certification of CNAs or ISO17025); and submit a proforma invoice;
2. Determine the feasible implementation plan and applicable standards under the plan;
3. If the test is needed, it can be carried out in the laboratory of PNT, and PNT shall coordinate sampling and carry out laboratory test;
4. After the above steps are completed, the on-site inspection meeting shall be implemented by the inspection office closest to the place of inspection, and all expenses shall be borne by the applicant;
5. After the inspection, the exporter shall submit the final documents (commercial invoice and packing list);
6. Issue customs clearance certificate.
Special reminder: according to the latest regulations issued by goeic in Egypt, except for the COI for customs clearance, the manufacturer or trademark holding company of the controlled products exported to Egypt must be on the official website of goeic（ http://www.goeic.gov.eg ）Register on. In addition, the product manufacturer or trademark holding company must have the quality management system certificate issued by ILAC or IAF authorized agency or the certification of quality monitoring by relevant agency authorized by ILAC or IAF. For example, in China, it can be CNAs authorized certification agency, such as pnt.
