Malaysia SIRIM certification
Malaysia SIRIM certification
Certification introduction
With the development of trade, buyers and consumers on product safety and quality requirements continue to increase, the Malaysian government stipulates that if the product is regularly shipped to Malaysia, suppliers need to apply for product certification. In 1998, Malaysia enacted a new (Communications and Multimedia Act 1998) to regulate the conditions for access to telecommunications services and telecommunications markets in Malaysia in detail.
A new telecommunications regulatory body, the Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission (CMC), was also created.
According to the "Communications and Multimedia Law", communications equipment placed on the market needs to apply to CMC or the certification body designated by CMC for type certification, and obtain equipment certification certificates and certification marks.
The Communication Equipment Testing Section (CETS) under the jurisdiction of SIRIM is responsible for the specific certification matters.
SIRIM is the only certification authority in Malaysia, and electronic products entering Malaysia are required to apply for SIRIM certification. In principle, the applicant should be a local organization in Malaysia. The application and administration of SIRIM certification is the responsibility of SIRIM QAS International, which issues SIRIM certificates.

4、Submit IEC/CE reports and factory quality documents for SIRIM certification
5、After the documents are approved, the application is accepted and the factory is arranged for review
6、Factory review passed and submitted for approval
7、SIRIM product certification issued
Factory inspection requirement
The first factory inspection must comply with the product certification system, and if it does, a certificate will be issued, which is valid for one year.。
