Most of the industrial products, equipment and machinery imported to Iran need to follow the compulsory certification procedure established by ISIRI (Iran Institute of standards industry) Iran's import regulations are complex and require a large number of documents.. Iran's import laws and regulations are complex and require a large number of documents. For details, please refer to Iran's compulsory certification product list to understand the products that must be subject to the ISIRI "compliance verification" procedure. The products mentioned in the list can only obtain the certificate of conformity - COC issued by ISIRI on the basis of the "conformity inspection" provided by the inspection company recognized by the Iranian government; and the certificate of conformity issued by ISIRI is the necessary document for the import customs clearance of goods. As an importer, it must confirm with the competent authorities of the Iranian government whether the imported products must follow the compulsory certification procedure and provide the relevant documents required for certification.

At the same time, for some industrial projects funded by the Commercial Bank of Iran, the price verification certificate shall be provided for the products involved in the procurement to prove that the cost of the project is within the reasonable market price

Standard

The acceptable standards of ISIRI in Iran mainly include: international standards (ISO, IEC, etc.), European standards (EN) and standards of some developed countries, such as British Standards BS, German standards DIN, American standards ASME and ANSI, Japanese standards JIS, etc. Chinese standard (GB) has not been accepted by ISIRI.
