Saudi - SASO2927 Standard Description

SASO2927 is the Saudi energy efficiency standard for street lamps. From February 15, 2020, the street lamp products will no longer accept the energy efficiency registration through SASO2902. Before June 1, 2020, all the street lamps previously applied for through SASO2902 will be converted into SASO2927 registration. At present, it seems that the official fee for re registration is not available, and the IECEE and PC certificates will also be re registered.

The calculation and requirements of SASO2902 are required for energy efficiency grade, energy efficiency, function and label of SASO2927 middle road lamp energy efficiency label (Note: some of the functional requirements of SASO2927 are higher than those of SASO2902, so SASO2927 is required for approval and report writing)

To be exact, SASO2927 is the upgraded standard of SASO2902 for street lamps, which puts forward more extensive requirements based on the particularity of street lamps, and more stringent requirements in terms of safety and functionality.

1.1.This standard includes the following three types of lighting classification

Type M: Lighting of Roads for Motor and Pedestrian Traffic

Type P: The Lighting of Pedestrian Areas

1.2 This standard covers the day and night conditions of tunnels
